Congratulations to all the teams who played tonight. This was our best grand finals ever with some very close results. We had our music turned up, The frozen cocktail machine turned down. We had our Footbal R.D.O. there "Mr Magic". We had some amazing Futsal skills and we had great referee's and we had great volunters. The scoreboards were working....Good job to every one.

Open Womens Score: Organised Confusion 5 def Rookies 2

This was a great match. From the start "Rookies" were playing with confidence. They are an undoubtedy talented group of ladies who played a very impresive semi final only an hour before where they destroyed the glennie team. Their form in the pool up to the finals saw them outright minor premiers by a massive margin which would have given their opposistion plenty to think about.  The match was very tight and one felt that Rookies might have the firepower to get over the line. Unfortunately "Organised Confusion" had other ideas. "O.C." chased, stepped, spun and ground away at Rookies and never gave up. After a few very well crafted 'O.C" goals in the second half the tide had turned and they then cemented their lead with vigour. The Rookies never gave up but having less subs ....the task just became too much. Great match girls, it's good to see we have so much Futsal talent in Toowoomba.

Score: St Ursula's 5 def Fairholme 1

Congratulations to St Ursula's who under their mad keen Football enthisist coach.... Steve Broderick are now back at the Winners podium after leading his girls to victory last year in the Under 15 grouping. From all accounts the game was played in great spirit and enjoyed by all. Fairholme came into the game missing a few of their players due to end of year school commitments and now will have to wait another year to remedy their situation. Great job to all involved.

Under 16 Women: Fairholme 8 def Glennie 5

The excitement ended for Glennie at the Under 16 Grand Final but not before playing the semi final match of their lives against St Ursula's (a very tough team to beat any day of the week)  in extra time.  What's more remarkable about the Glennie team is that they are new to Futsal and Football. So this is an outstanding achievment for the girls and coaching staff to get to the grand final. Fairholme on the other hand gave a very solid demonstration to the fans on how to play Futsal. Fairholme's very solid defensive strategy held firm all night and they would quickly turn this great defence into attack constantly probing in behind Glennie's backs and causing them great problems. A great game to watch. Congratulations to all involved.
